I had to steal that phrase from my friend's license plate. It's just too good not to use, you know?
This past weekend Allan and I went camping at Morro Bay Strand State Beach and we were pretty stoked on it for a few reasons:
1. It's the beach AND it's summer. Enough said.
-and-
2. It was our first camping trip on our own!
We have been wanting to embark on our very own camping adventures for some time now, but we had never really buckled down to buy the necessary supplies. Well, after a birthday and a graduation we were gifted an awesome tent and a queen-sized sleeping bag (thank you Harringtons) and figured we ought to put our newly acquired (and borrowed) goods to use.
Camping is awesome! It gently forces you to scale WAY back and enjoy the small, and often overlooked, joys of life. A good book, a break from technology/social media, a hot and steady fire, quiet and uninterrupted time with the ones you love in nature...
...and our camping trip was no different.
Here are a few highlights from our short camping trip. So simple, but so good!
