I recently purchased a Holga camera!
I really enjoy film, more specifically instant film, but I haven’t really ventured into the non-instant kind nearly as much. For this camera I used Kodak’s 120 Portra 400 Film and I LOVE it! It has such a cool look to it…and if I’m being honest…it did most of the work for me. I just pointed and shot at some pretty cute subjects and VOILA out came the rad photos below.
I wasn’t able to use the Holga’s funky flash situation with rotating color gels on this particular roll of film (mostly because I didn’t know what I was doing and I put the film in first, rather than the flash’s batteries…oops). BUUUT, I am messing around with it on my current roll of film and I am really excited to see the results! To develop the film, I’ve been relying solely on the The Darkroom in San Clemente. I just send it off to their lab and they return the digital and physical photos fairly quickly. SO without further ado, enjoy the results below!
